Welcome to Avanguard Contest, a wallpaper design competition where we are seeking five winners to create unique and captivating designs for our wallpaper collection. The deadline for submitting your designs is May 31, 2023.
Terms and Conditions:
- Eligibility: The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18, regardless of their location or nationality. However, employees, agents, directors, and officers of Avanguard and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
- Submission Guidelines: Designs must be submitted in high-resolution JPG or TIFF format, with a minimum of 90dpi and original size. The theme of the competition is “Avanguard Belgrade”, and participants are expected to create designs that capture the essence of this vibrant and exciting city. Designs will be evaluated by a panel of experts in interior design and wallpaper, who will consider factors such as creativity, originality, aesthetics, and how well the design captures the essence of Belgrade. All designs must be original and have the appropriate rights. We strongly encourage you to create your own designs from scratch, rather than using pre-existing designs or images. If you do use any pre-existing material, please make sure that you have obtained the appropriate permissions and have the rights to use the material.
Judging Criteria: The designs will be judged on creativity, originality, relevance to the theme, and overall aesthetics. The panel of judges will consist of a group of experts in the design industry. The judges’ decision will be final and binding.
Intellectual Property Rights: By submitting a design, the participant grants Avanguard a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display the design in any manner deemed appropriate by Avanguard. The participant also warrants that the design is their original work and does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
Prize: Five winners will have their designs featured in the Avanguard wallpaper collection, with appropriate credit given to the designer. First place will receive an additional 3000€, second place 2000€ and third place 1000€.
- Notification of Winners: The winners will be notified by email or phone within 30 days of the deadline for submission. If a winner does not respond within ten days of notification, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner selected.
- General Terms: Avanguard reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition at any time, without notice. Avanguard also reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms and conditions or who engages in any fraudulent or inappropriate conduct.
- Indemnification: By submitting a design, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Avanguard and its affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from their participation in the contest or their breach of these terms and conditions.
- Privacy: Avanguard will collect and use participants’ personal information solely for the purpose of administering the contest and awarding the prizes. Avanguard will not share participants’ personal information with third parties, except as necessary to administer the contest or comply with legal obligations.
- Dispute Resolution: These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to the contest shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the European Arbitration Association. Legal recourse in the event of late submission is excluded.
- Limitation of Liability: Avanguard shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or expenses arising from participants’ participation in the contest or their acceptance or use of any prize. In no event shall Avanguard’s liability exceed the value of the prize awarded to the winners.
- Waiver: Avanguard’s failure to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
- Entire Agreement: These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the participants and Avanguard, and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the contest.
